European Quran, Adhan Contest Slated for April
The Islamic Center Hamburg will organize the contest on April 12-14, according to the center’s website.
It said “publication and promotion of Quranic culture and education; preparation for development and formation of Quranic elite; increase in fondness of Quran readers with the words of inspiration; creation of unity in European Quranic society; and transferring the participants’ experiences to one another,” were among the objectives of the Quranic event.
It will be organized in the categories of Quran recitation (men), memorization (men and women), Tarteel (women), Quran exegesis (men and women), Adhan (men), and Tawasheeh (men).
The contest will be held for two age groups of under and over 16 years old.
All Muslims residing in European countries can participate in the competition.
Each contestant can only participate in one of the categories.
